A fireball rapidly decends as it glows red, orange and yellow.
This animated GIF, representing a fireball, was generated with HTML5 radial gradients, global composite operations and global alpha. The basic idea is in place with JavaScript, however some random coordinates and colors would probably make the effect more realistic.
A fireball is a meteor which appears brighter than most.
The chemical components of a meteor determine it's hue. Nitrogen and oxygen appear red.
Sodium appears orange-yellow.
