About Animation Preparation
San Zuchini Harbor
was part of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
the animated cartoon. Fox Children's Network broadcast the animation.
This animation combines the harbor scene with the gas station scene.
The original art was digitally painted
with Vista Tips software,
which is similar to Photoshop.
Digital painting
was prepared by
Amy Washburn Butler.
I'm owner of Seven Thunder Software.
However composition and color palettes were prepared by another artist on the team.
This background graphic began with two black and white sketches and a color scheme, provided by another artist. One sketch displayed the left side and the other displayed the right side of the room. The sketches and color scheme were used as guides to create the final digital paintings.
American Film Technologies combined the digital paintings, representing each side of the room, as horizontal panning tracking animation, for broadcast.
Much later, I modified and combined the graphics with JavaScript and HTML5 for interactive views and After Effects for tracking animation.
